Sea to Sky Healer is an independent online magazine exploring health, healing, spirituality and wellbeing through features, personal stories, diverse perspectives, professional insight and accessible research. Rooted in the Sea to Sky region of BC, it welcomes stories from beyond its borders.
Gagandeep Ghuman edits the Sea to Sky Healer. He graduated from the School of Journalism at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) in Toronto in 2008. He interned at the Toronto Star and Guelph Mercury. Before launching an independent newspaper in Squamish, he worked briefly at Parksville Qualicum Beach News and Squamish Chief.
As a freelancer, his bylines have appeared in Pique Newsmagazine, Tyee, Vancouver Sun, and Globe and Mail. The Canadian Association of Journalists shortlisted him for his investigative stories on Squamish in 2010, 2011, and 2015 for their annual awards. In 2013, the Ryerson Journalism Alumni Association also honoured him as a Headliner—one among the 12 notable alumni who had made a mark in journalism.
