Starting May 1, 2024, visitors to the Sea to Sky Gondola will have to pay for parking.  The new parking program will run daily from May 1 to October 1, 2024, and will be in effect from 7 am to 4 pm, Monday through Thursday, and from 7 am to 7 pm on Friday through Sunday.

The half-day rate for parking is $8, and the full-day rate is $10. Sea to Sky Gondola pass holders will receive a complimentary parking pass that is valid for their membership.

Matthew Peake of Sea to Sky Gondola said the goal is to prioritize guests’ access to the limited parking available at the base area. “During peak season, the Sea to Sky Gondola parking lot is often used to access Shannon Falls and Stawamus Chief Provincial Park. Our goal is to give our guests priority access to the limited available parking at our base area,” he said.

For non-pass holder local visitors, Squamish Transit will resume the “South Parks” route, including the gondola, from June 15 and will run throughout the summer, the company said in an update.  Visitors from the Lower Mainland can take the Squamish Connector shuttle service from downtown Vancouver to the gondola base. Tour operators such as Westcoast Sightseeing and Land Sea Tours also include the Sea to Sky Gondola in their itineraries.

Visitors can use the pay-by-phone app when they arrive at the Sea to Sky Gondola to pay for parking. They can follow the directions on the pay-by-phone signage in the parking lot. If they cannot use the app, they can visit Guest Services to make a payment.

“By supporting the Sea to Sky Gondola through paid parking, you’re helping to ensure that this amazing destination remains accessible and enjoyable for years to come,” the company said.
